SKILLS & ABILITIES• Hypnotic Tongue - The first ability Ren discovered and his most utilized is his hypnotic voice. This ability is similar to hypnosis, except it skips the stage where the target must enter a passive state. Through this ability, Ren can inflict thoughts and concepts into the minds of others that they would not have otherwise conceived. This can cause them to take action or to do things they would not have otherwise done. The ability works by way of sound. Once the target hears his hypnotic voice, they begin to believe that what he is saying are their own thoughts. For example, if he says "you want a glass of milk" to someone who was about to order tea, they would then believe that they did, indeed, want a glass of milk instead. The effect wears off quickly, and soon after when their drink arrives they will wonder why they ordered a glass of milk. The effect of his voice is not something that can be actively felt, and is not noticeable to the target. Though anyone with a logical mind may be able to connect the dots if they continue to do abnormal things. Uses of the hypnotic voice can be as simple as the former example, or for more extreme suggestions such as "you are going to jump in front of that train". A person with a weak-willed mind is likely to take the suggestion, but others with a strong will may be able to refute the hypnosis effect if the suggestion is too absurd. His voice can leave the target very confused if he continues to speak with them, and if used successively (as in, he continuously speaks hypnotic suggestions to the target) can temporarily drive the target into a jumbled state of mind during which they cannot think or process information effectively. However, if Ren cannot be heard, then the hypnotic voice will be ineffective, as it works solely by way of sound. Likewise, he can also use the ability on multiple targets. Pretty much anyone within range of his voice. But he may also identify a specific target and exclude others even if they can hear his voice. The more targets he attempts, however, the less affective the hypnosis. Also, the more often he uses the ability on a single person within a given period, the less effective it becomes. Excessive use of this ability will cause him to temporarily lose his voice.
• Hypnotic Melody - A similar ability to the hypnotic tongue, Ren's hypnotic melody ability utilizes music in order to affect a target's emotions, rather than thoughts. This ability requires the use of a medium other than standard spoken language, such as a musical instrument or vocal singing. Ren utilizes this ability with his violin, as it is most effective this way, but can also use it to a lesser degree with his own singing voice. The hypnotic melody uses the sound from the music to convey whatever emotion or specific kind of feeling he is attempting to incite to the target, such as joy, anger, excitement, fear, sadness, or even more specific feelings such as lust and curiosity. This ability is a little more effective than his hypnotic tongue as far as achieving its goal, as the sound from the musical source perpetually penetrates the target, continuously conveying the emotion with which Ren is attempting to influence the target. As an example, Ren may play his violin using his hypnotic ability to cause a feeling of sadness in a target. This emotion can deepen to a point where the target feels depressed, and may cause them to do things they would not normally do. Depending on the mental fortification of the target, effects will vary. An extremely strong-willed person may only feel slightly disparaged. Like the hypnotic voice, Ren may choose to make his hypnotic song all-inclusive to those within earshot, or specify a particular target while excluding all others. For this ability to work, Ren must be creating the music himself. He cannot utilize music created by others, unless it is done so in conjunction with his own music.

WEAPONS• Violin - It may be a simple music instrument, but with Ren's abilities it can very much be a weapon. Ren's violin is the medium through which he most commonly utilizes his hypnotic melody ability.
