The world was not as it seemed. Not everything could be considered innocent and sweet — not everything was just. As some know, but seem to ignore, there will always be something that will be the exact opposite of innocence. Something bitter, something sinister. It was just how the world seemed to work. Nothing could really be so simple. Nothing ever was.
Those who wished for a haven were the kind of people who wanted to believe. To hope that there really was such a paradise. However, there couldn't possibly be someone with the time, the patience, and the power to make the perfect haven. There couldn't possibly be someone who was willing to.
It is now 2009 — technology has advanced in leaps and bound, and it really does feel like everything is perfect. But, as it was in the past, our present is no stranger to chaos. There are three creatures who inhabit our world, our present —
Our future.
First, there are the humans. Fickle creatures they are. So indecisive and yet, so...not. They're the creatures who seem to be growing in population a lot these days. Despite their large numbers, they don't have any extraordinary abilities. They are the most normal out of the three creatures.
Then, there are the Hunters. Humanoid creatures that were produced by a group of scientists who wanted to make the world a better place. Hunters have special abilities that help them to hunt demons -- their prey. From a young age, they are taught to be fighters and live by what would be called the "Mission" which is heavily related to their purpose in life.
And last, but not least, there are the Demons. Demons are creatures who lurk in the shadows of earth, appearing in humanoid form to take the lives of humans and hunters. Like Hunters, Demons also have special abilities. The race of Demons are the sole enemies of Hunters, and the two races fight almost constantly in a war of power.
When these three creatures meet, you can only imagine how disastrous their future together will be, because let's face it, things are gonna get bad.
It's time for innocence to say goodbye.

There once lived a scientist known as "The Collector", who enjoyed collecting information and using it to the best of his abilities; whether it was to write more about it, ask new questions -- produce answers. For a long time, the scientist had believed the world was in a dark plague -- wars constantly fought, battles being lost, pride being taken, and people dying. He was living in a dark time of the world's history. He attempted to create the world's greatest treasure and weapon -- and someday, the end of all darkness in the world. The Hunters. Hunters were the humanoid creatures that held small supernatural powers and were already born to know how to fight. But if they were fighting, how would it end this so called darkness that plagued the world, as the scientist thought?
He would stop it through fear. Fear of the Hunters.
Somewhere else, another scientist known as the "Corspe Enchanter" was working on something else. Demons. He was power hungry and insane, constantly looking for ways to gain dominance in this world. And then, after countless ideas being thrown to the ground, he found out that he could always make the enemy. Create creatures of darkness and evil and use them. That's what the Corpse Enchanter did; just as the other scientist, he created humanoid creatures that lived on human flesh and blood. He never knew of what would become of his creations until ten years later when the The Collector had passed away.
Things went wrong for The Collector, but right for the Corspe Enchanter; when the Demons went out of hand and out of control -- plaguing the world into more darkness by eating the flesh and blood of the Human race. The Hunters, on instinct, had started to fight with them and cause war; not the scientist's goals at all. But would could be done? The Hunters had gone off on their own -- even destroying the scientist's laboratory and the scientist himself -- and started to cause an everlasting war between the Demons. By the end of the decade, the Hunters called their sole purpose in life as "The Mission" -- to exterminate all Demons at all costs.
The Hunters and Demons continued fighting more and more, with had soon decreased the Human population on Earth by at least five percent. The war was never going to stop. Not until one of them -- The Hunter or The Demon -- had gained dominance and won this fight. It was such a hassle, that eventually the world's greatest fighting forces had gotten involved -- the people started to capture these Hunters and Demons. So then, it ended up with the Hunters and Demons fighting while escaping the clutches of Man's hands. But some of Man succeeded, Japan coming into play as their forces had liberated many of the world's countries of the Hunters and Demons.
But Japan had started to become curious of the Hunters and Demons. What had made the Hunters so strong and powerful and obtain these inhuman powers? Where did the Demons come from? So they experimented on the Hunters and Demons that they had captured, putting one and one together to get two. It took many, many years before anyone got anywhere. Japan had done it again -- they succeeded. They learned, after thirty years, on how to reproduce more of these Hunters and spawn new Demons. It would soon become that the Hunters and Demons become Japan's new fighting forces.
But alas, after all that work, the Hunters still had their instincts to rid of the Demons and vice versa. The Hunters and Demons turned on the Japanese, and their war continued on. Fighting never ceased and the world tried to stop it -- humans risking their lives, hiding in terror, or some even unaware of this situation.
What would become of the world now?
