[/blockquote][/blockquote]welcome to ochreville, kentucky. obviously you live here - how else would you find out about it? it's not even marked on the map anymore.. no, according to the census we're just a field of grass. yeah. not that small, kay? ... or is it?
it doesn't matter, you'd better get used to the don't-tell-if-you-don't-want-everyone-to-know-about-it nature of living in a small pond. even if you don't say anything, people have eyes and gossip travels fast. with the help of the mysterious blogger, posting everyone's shit on the internet like that.. well, who's even got secrets anymore? i know i sure as hell don't.
you know, it's so bad that they call us the hotel california of kentucky. get it? because no one ever leaves? they all come back after sooner or later. maybe they can't get enough of the small town life. heh. i guess you could say that if you wanted to. or you could say taxi's wouldn't stop for a polite conversation at two in the morning when you're walking home from choir practice. don't like it? what're you gonna do about it, steal mommy's sock full of money and run away with it? you'll be deader then a doorknob in about twenty four hours, guaranteed.
cause you see, not many people can make the adjustment between ochreville and everywhere else - once you've been smalltown your whole life you can never really adapt well to the big city. there will always be that thing about you that brands you as a country bumpkin. as for those who move in.. well, have fun getting to know everyone. you're never an outsider for long when there's only four hundred and seventy eight other people to socialize with.
and your high school friends? don't give them too much shit because they'll be around you forever.
welcome to ochreville. i'd say enjoy your stay but we all know you can count what there is to do here on one hand and have fingers left over.
